education

How have humans organised the teaching of the next generation? Every settled society built a place to learn in — and every one of them kept somebody out. This plate follows both the founding and the door that was closed.

Scroll or drag inside a register to zoom and pan it — each register is its own viewport, so a seam never drifts off-screen. Click a mark for its gloss and source. ← → walk the beats in time order. h toggles the honesty strip's viewport marker. On a phone, swipe the timeline sideways to move through time.
True scale — linear, undistorted
Sources read for this edition (a list, never a score): English Wikipedia · Hindi Wikipedia (hi) · Arabic Wikipedia (ar). Attempted and unreachable in this forge: Chinese (zh) — recorded as absence A003, which is why the keju (B010) is read only in English. Non-Wikipedia archives consulted: none — recorded as absence A008. All Wikipedia text is CC-BY-SA, cited per beat.
The largest gap is not a fetch failure. Absence A001 records that every institution on this plate kept somebody out — by caste, by gender, by poverty — and that this method renders foundings, not the far larger history of who was refused the door. The whitespace is the content.
Citation form: canonical article URLs, not oldid permalinks — the forge environment could not retrieve revision IDs (the REST /bare endpoint returns empty; ?action=info redirects to the article). A declared deviation, carried as absence A007.
Vendored code: none — the three-register frame, all marks and the true-scale strip are custom. Per time-axis.md Ed.2, vis-timeline is recorded as tried-and-rejected-with-cause: its single linear axis would dissolve the piecewise scale and its labelled seams. The Human-register densities on this plate were derived from education's own beat distribution — front-sparse, back-loaded — not copied from another concept; the plate passed the layout audit (0 overlaps, 0 clipped, no segment starved).
Runtime: standalone — this plate does not import the DC runtime, which was absent from the forge environment. Theme tokens ride var(--token, fallback) so a prism can be applied without changing markup. Storage key lofl-deeptime-v1 (view state only; the ledger lives in this file, never in storage).
