A working pilot
Something real you can test, that survives contact with the world — not a slide about one.
Leap of Faith Labs treats learning, culture and care for the commons as things worth counting — worth checking, recording, and giving back to. India has built the digital plumbing; we work on the human part.
India has built remarkable digital public infrastructure. What is missing is anything that notices the people it was built for — the teacher who stays after the bell, the artisan passing on a craft, the woman teaching five children in her home.
We build the open systems that make that work countable: a way to record what happened, check it against fair criteria, and turn it into recognition and opportunity for the person who earned it. In practice that means an open place to list social-impact programs and check whether they did what they said.
Every piece of work has to leave behind at least one of these. If it leaves none, it did not do its job.
Something real you can test, that survives contact with the world — not a slide about one.
People who understand what was built and can run it once we are gone.
Results that stand up to review and can go on the record — never a claim without its evidence.
Specifications, rubrics and tools published openly, for anyone to take further.
The terms of use spell this out.
Leap of Faith Labs is registered in India as LOFL (OPC) Private Limited, a one-person company in Pune. Everything we make is open unless there is a reason otherwise, and locking anyone in has to be argued for.
The company is LOFL. We read it as Leap of Faith Labs. Other people have read it as Language of Laughter, Letter of Love, Love of Life. L-OF-L holds whatever you bring to it.
Two things are not negotiable. Impact Units cannot be sold or transferred and are never described as anything financial. And nothing involving a child is processed without written consent from their guardian — the policy is public.
One real unit, from a real pilot, checked by someone else. Not a simulation. Everything else — the company, the funding case, the policy argument — comes after that proof.
